A prompt is a finished analysis behind one command. Pick it, give it a brand, and your assistant runs the tool calls in a fixed order, applies the same metric definitions as the app, and returns a formatted report. You can keep asking follow-up questions in the same conversation.

How to invoke a prompt

Where prompts appear depends on your client.
If prompts don’t show up after connecting, remove and re-add the GEOly server to refresh the list. A prompt only appears when every tool it uses is available on your connection.
The brand argument. On a connection to one brand, prompts run on that brand and have no brand argument. When you can reach several brands or organizations, pass the brand name or id.

Available prompts

geoly_weekly_pulse

Weekly Visibility Pulse. A week-over-week digest: your headline metrics per platform, competitor movers, new competitor entries, and the cited domains that moved most. Formatted for sharing. Use when: you want a Monday-morning snapshot of what changed last week. Calls get_brand_context, get_daily_trend, get_brand_overview, get_brand_board, and get_citation_overview.

geoly_competitor_radar

Competitor Movement Radar. Detects significant competitor movements week over week, shows on which platforms they happen, and which cited domains carry them while your brand is absent. Use when: you want to know who is gaining on you and through which sources. Calls get_brand_context, get_brand_board, get_platform_matrix, and get_citation_overview.

geoly_platform_scorecard

AI Platform Scorecard. One scorecard per AI platform: mention rate, citation rate, visibility, sentiment, and share of mentions, plus the platform with the most untapped potential. Use when: you need to decide which AI platform to focus on. Calls get_brand_context, get_daily_trend, get_brand_overview, and get_platform_matrix.

geoly_topic_heatmap

Topic × Platform Heatmap. Visibility across your topics and AI platforms, calibrated to your own average so each cell reads as blind spot, weak, moderate, strong, or dominant. Use when: you want to see which topics are weak on which platform at a glance. Calls get_brand_context, get_platform_matrix, and get_citation_overview.

geoly_source_gap_audit

Citation Source Audit. How your own domains perform as cited sources, which domains AI cites instead, and the content gaps where competitors are cited and you are not. Use when: you plan content or digital PR and want to know which sources AI relies on. Calls get_brand_context, get_citation_overview, and get_domain_detail.

geoly_campaign_tracker

Campaign Impact Tracker. A before-and-after comparison around a launch date: mention and citation rates per platform, and whether specific URLs were picked up as AI citations. Use when: you launched a page, product, or PR push and want to know if AI noticed. Calls get_brand_context, get_daily_trend, get_brand_overview, get_url_detail, and get_citation_overview.

geoly_prompt_set_grader

Prompt Set Grader. Grades your tracked prompt set on topic balance, tag hygiene, funnel coverage, branded versus non-branded split, duplicates, and platform data coverage. Returns an A–F report card with the top three fixes. Use when: you set up monitoring or want to check that your prompts reflect real customer questions. Changing the prompt set changes what you measure, not how visible you are. The grader names gaps; it doesn’t add prompts to lift the numbers. Calls get_brand_context, get_prompt_list, and get_topic_list.

Combining prompts with free-form questions

Prompts and plain questions work in the same conversation. Run a prompt for the structured report, then dig into what stands out:
  1. Run geoly_weekly_pulse for the overview.
  2. Ask “Show me the ChatGPT answers behind that drop in mention rate.”
  3. Ask “Which domains are cited there instead of ours?”
Every prompt quotes numbers with the window the tools returned, never averages daily values into a window value, and labels any inferred cause as a hypothesis.
